Personal:

I am married to Brandon, who believes running anything over 3 miles is pointless, but is very supportive of my running anyway. We have 4 children who are 9, 7, 2, and 9 months. I ran cross country in high school and college then took a 5 year break after having my first child. I realized that I missed that being a part of who I was and then started running again and ran my first marathon in 2008. I have run since then other than stopping for 2 more pregnancies. Last year I became running friends with Britta (many of you know her, she introduced me to the blog). She has helped me so much to improve my speed and has taught me so much about running such high milage. I am enjoying the many runs together and the many accomplishments due to the great training. I call her my coach.

Mile repeats! Brandon had the afternoon off so we went early afternoon. Ran with Britta and Amy. Both Britta and I had watch problems, but between the two of us this is about what I came up with for mile splits...6:34, 6:27 and 6:18. We were shooting for 6:35ish, but I knew I was going to go harder the last repeat. It was a really hard effort and my legs feel tired and ready for a little break.

Ran with Britta, Ana, and Amy. Long run early this week. Average Pace 8:42. Felt a little tired, but overall it was easy.
